Paediatric Dentistry
We promote a positive and pleasant experience for children when visiting the dentist from an early age.
We recommend bringing your child to see the dentist from around the age of 3, for a routine check up and clean. This is the age when they are very receptive, curious and eager to learn about different things, unless there is a particular dental problem that your child might be having, then you might want to consult sooner.
Other treatments provided for children:
Pit & Fissure Sealants
This is a preventative measure to protect the child’s teeth from getting tooth decay or cavity by putting sealants on the deep pits and fissures of the permanent teeth, making it also easier for the child to clean this area.
Stainless Steel Crowns
This is commonly indicated for primary teeth that have been affected with a bigger cavity or some morphological defect. It is very useful in making the primary teeth last until the permanent teeth are ready to come out.
Referral to a Specialist Orthodontist
This is for the correction of the spacing and alignment of crooked or maligned teeth as well as some jaw deformity or problem.
